It is learned that Inderjit was on his way to Bathinda after filling rations in Khalsa Aid's car when his tire got stuck in a rock on the road near Bajakhana and the car lost its balance. The vehicle was completely wrecked in the accident. Inderjit was rushed to Max Hospital in Bathinda in a critical condition but was pronounced dead by doctors.
