Former Punjab Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has decided to return to political activities after nearly nine months of silence after a political feud with Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh by launching YouTube channel 'Jitega Punjab' from Saturday.

Releasing a YouTube video, Sidhu said that only four or five rulers have been arrested in Punjab in the last few years and now the voice of the people has to be raised. An open invitation will be extended to those who have a new vision for the progress of Punjab in this channel.

Sidhu claimed that after nine months of suicide and self-improvement, he would raise his voice on the burning issues of Punjab. Through this channel we will consider the idea of rebuilding Punjab and a concrete roadmap as a welfare state. He will present his views to the people of Punjab and the country. Sidhu said that the punch line of the channel would be 'Keep the web simple'. Naam Nanak will work on the basis of Chaldi Kala, Sarbatt Ka Bhala according to Your will.

It may be recalled that Navjot Singh Sidhu had resigned from the post of Cabinet Minister on July 16 last year due to differences with Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. ਉSince then, Sidhu has completely shut down both political activities and the media. Although the Congress High Command put him on its list of star campaigners for the four-star Punjab by-elections and the Delhi Assembly elections, Sidhu did not go to campaign for the party.

Navjot Singh Sidhu had joined the first batch in Pakistan in the last nine months when the Kartarpur corridor was opened but he kept his distance from the media and did not make any political statement. Significantly, Sidhu had not attended any session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha in the last nine months.

"The whole world is my country," Sidhu said in 'Sidhubani'. All the people are my brothers. Referring to Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Sidhu said that it was their symbol. This channel will emerge as a symbol of our glorious past, good governance, courage, sacrifice and ideals for our future generations. The logo of 'Jitega Punjab' is also Punjab inspired.
