Police have registered a case of murder against Kulwinder's eldest son Hardeep (26) and uncle Ajeeb Singh. Police had earlier taken action under section 174, citing the statement of Kulwinder Kaur, son of the deceased, as an incident. But after the statement of Raja Singh, brother of the deceased Kulwinder Kaur, to the police, he became suspicious.
When the police investigated the case, it was found that Kulwinder Kaur did not fire from the stove while cooking but was set on fire by her own sons Hardeep Gaggu and Jija Ajeeb Singh. Police have named both the accused in the FIR under Section 302. Relatives said that a fire broke out while cooking on the stove. In a complaint lodged with the police of Balianwali police station, Raja Singh resident of Chandpura police station Jakhal said that on April 17, his elder nephew Hardeep got a call that his mother had a stove.
He died the next day when he reached Faridkot hospital. Meanwhile, Raja Singh suspected Hardeep of his nephew Hardeep's behavior. The complainant said that nephew Hardeep often had quarrels with his sister. That is why Hardeep and Uncle Ajeeb conspired to burn him. Seeing the screw on themselves, both the accused fled. Hardeep was the eldest of his three children.
